It is customary among Filipinos to await the New Year in their own homes.  That is why for most Pinoys, New Year’s Eve is spent at home.  Just like last year we had planned to celebrate the birth of the New Year in the comforts of our own home.  As usual, shopping includes different kinds […]

Carving the Turkey The Girls Carving John's Turkey

Xiane with Jennelle Xiane Pins the Donkey Xiane and Harumi are all smiles!

We’ve had the privilege to be invited to a friend’s Christmas party last Sunday, December 23.  The previous Thursday we invited them over for lunch.  We’ve known Chiclet and her husband since we got here in Qatar, when we lived in Al Bayyan Gardens.  And although, they have often invited us  to their children’s birthday parties, it was only lately that we’ve had the chance to invite them.  I was so happy when finally that long overdue invitation finally took place.

These photos were taken on the 1st of December 07.

Our Christmas Photoshoot

Two Saturdays ago, we took the time to have our family Christmas photoshoot.  Choosing the perfect spot was not difficult as it was obviously the area near the Christmas tree. Tian had to use the boxes from Aramex as stand since he couldn’t remember where he had placed our tripod.  Thank God he’s resourceful and innovative enough or else it would have been very frustrating if the photoshoot didn’t push through because of the missing stand.

Birthday Friday

10 Nov 2007

Today we attended two parties.  The first one was at lunch, the birthday of Tito Yam, held at their home.  Since we live next street to them, we were the very first to arrive at 12:30.  We also intended to come early since we were bringing some baked macaroni as requested by Tita May. It […]

Xianelle wearing her Snow White Costume

We were at friend’s daughter’s 1st birthday party last night.  It was held at Burger King, Al Sadd and it was a costume party.  Originally Xiane was supposed to wear her Belle Christmas gown, the one that we got her as Christmas gift last year.  But on Thursday, her new Snow White and Aurora costumes that her dad bought online arrived, just in time for the party.  As soon as we got home from that darn (my apologies for the word but it was an event that lacked preparation, information dissemination- in short just a waste of our precious time) “2016 Public Lunch” on Thursday night, Xiane tried on both gowns.  Xiane was persistent on wearing the Aurora gown while her dad and I insisted that she wears the Snow White.  We fell in love with it the moment that we laid eyes on it.  It was a little girls costume but it was classy and elegant.  But Xiane had made up her mind.  She really wanted the Aurora gown.
