The Cambridge School, Doha, provides an education based on The National Curriculum for England to students from Kindergarten to Year 13. The school prepares students for the IGCSE Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations, AS and A Levels.

The school is managed by GEMS, Global Education Management Systems, and is a joint venture between the Varkey Group and the Taleb Group. Doha College opened in September 1980 to meet the demand for a British-style secondary education in Doha and to provide an alternative to boarding school education. The original school, with 28 students, started out in a large villa and porta cabins were used as classrooms. In april 1988 the colloge moved to its present site.

The College has 1,150 students of over 50 nationalities on roll, ranging from preschool through to a very active and successful sixth form of 200 students. Over recent years the College has developed a reputation as one of the very best International schools in the Gulf with a unique atmosphere that marks us out as special.
