WiFi in Starbucks (Qatar) isn't free. WTF?

Why would Starbucks think that I should give them more money by buying WiFi cards so I could access the internet from their shop? I believe that giving your customers FREE WiFi is a standard for any Coffee shop. They do that in the Philippines. In the US, even Mcdonalds give you free WiFi.

So can you give me a good reason why I should buy your WiFi Cards again, Starbucks?
