Xianelle's 1st Term Report in Qatar Academy

All parents take pride in their children.  There doesn’t have to be a special reason for it because we are proud of our children just because they are our own.  However, as parents we can’t help to be even prouder whenever our kids have achievements  like having good grades in school, winning a contest or having a good performance in a school play or what have you.

I guess the same can be said about how we feel for our daughter.  We’ve always been proud of her and yet she give us even more reason to be prouder. She has done really well in school since her Reception year in Doha Montessori and British School.

This year though, being new in Qatar Academy, we were not really expecting much from her as we know how tough it is to be in her place.  As anyone who is new into something, she had to go through an adjustment phase and it wasn’t at all that easy no matter how well-adjusted a kid she is.  She missed her friends from her old school plus the fact that she initially felt that she didn’t belong.

But thankfully, with guidance and continuous encouragement, she has finally adjusted which allowed her to just sail through the 2^nd half of the 1^st term.  Needless to say, she has found her own niche in school.

Now that the first term is over, we can’t be any happier to say that our Xianelle has made us proud once again.  We are very pleased with her report, with all the good grades  and wonderful comments from her teachers.  It also gives us great pride that Xianelle has been chosen to be part of the Talent in Aptitude and Achievement Program (TAP) in school.  This progam caters for students who have performed well academically.   This program will further help her perform well in her academics.  But more than the good grades and comments we are happy and proud of  our Xianelle because at her young age she has in her own way surpassed the challenges that has come her way with flying colors.
