Bangkok Getaway

It’s been years since my husband and I spent some time alone together. Our last trip was in October 2001, when we went to Hong Kong for our honeymoon. But since we had our daughter in 2003, having some ‘alone time’ together has been quite difficult especially because having to live abroad meant that we didn’t have an extra hand to look after our daughter.  We’d had trips and outings but always with Xianelle and the entire family.

Almost 8 years later, we thought it was time we had another trip just the two of us.  After all Xianelle is already 6 years old.  So we did, Tian came home one day telling me about the trip to Bangkok that he wanted us to have.  But of course we had to consult it first with my in-laws who can’t be any happier about the thought of baby-sitting her.

Tian booked us a plane to Bangkok where we would stay for 4 nights and 5 days (July 21-25).  It was something that I had looked forward to for months and having done a trip alone with my husband after so many years was definitely worth the wait.
