The Past Weeks

I’ve been sick the past week and my sinusitis is still acting up till now. The weather in Doha has been quite bad the past few weeks; mist, sand storms, some drizzles and rains, and now the heat. And that was just in a 3 week span! Afternoon temperature now jumps to 36 deg.! Aside from the opening of D-Ring Road, I don’t have any other news from Doha. You must have read about the "new" Qatar Sponsorship Law or about the AC Milan -Al Sadd Friendly soccer match that brought the ever popular David Beckham in this part of the world. I emphasize on "new" on the Sponsorship Laws just because there’s really nothing new to it. I think the only thing that is really new about it is that Female employees can now openly sponsor their husband and children. You still have a ban of 2 years if you quit work or 4 years if dismissed on serious charges. and so on and so forth…Anyway, let’s see if something interesting comes up this week to come.
