Swimming Lessons
It’s been really difficult for me to write for the blog since I started working. There’s just so much to do and the weekends are just too short. So I am quite lucky to be pounding on the keyboard once again although there are still a lot of things to do. I guess my chores will have to wait.
Xianelle has just started her swimming lessons today. They started having their swimming classes in school last term but won’t have it again until the 3rd term which commences in April. So we thought it best to enroll her into private swimming lessons. Luckily, there’s a Filipino swimming instructor at the club where we have been swimming.
So even though it’s a weekend, all 3 of us got up early. We had breakfast and prepared to go to the pool. As soon as we got there, the instructor wasted no time and started their session. Although Tian and I were having a swim we tried our best to stay inconspicuous so that Xianelle and her instructor won’t get conscious with our presence. It was fun to watch her having her swimming lessons.
After about 10 minutes of constantly complaining that water was going into her nose and fixing her goggles, she finally started to pay no attention to her nose and her goggles. Her instructor patiently taught her some basic skills that she needed to learn in swimming. And at the end of the session, it was a joy to see her being able to dip her head under water, blow bubbles, kick her legs and swim even for just a short distance.
Tomorrow, Xiane will have her lesson again. We intend to take her at least every other day so that she’ll continue to learn. We are hoping that by she would have learned how to swim by the time her swimming classes start in April.
