Guitar Hero
Mavis and I, if you've been following my Twitter feed, have been busy playing Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock on the Wii. After taking turns playing the Bass and Lead guitars, we managed to complete the co-op more in just 2 days. That was on Easy Level though. Plus, we are only using the Wiimotes to play. Maviis was supposed to gift me the Guitar Hero for the Xbox 360 last year but I told her not to as I wasn't that keen on playing it. I've tried the demo on Xbox and it was good but looking at the song list, I didn't know 90% of the songs and that didn't entice me enough. That was until we got to play it on the Wii. Although we didn't have the guitar, we still enjoyed pressing the buttons to hit the needed notes on every song. Our favorites include Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Paint to Black and Black Magic Woman.
I've looked at the song list of Guitar Hero World Tour and I find it much better that the last Legends of Rock. I've looked at the prices in Ebay and Amazon but shipping the item using Aramex would be too expensive as the Guitar Kit is close to 6 pounds while the whole drum, mic and guitar set would be 26 pounds! Egad! That would mean that shipping it would cost more than the actual cost of the item! I've called Technical Care Center and they have the Xbox 360 Drum Set for QR1095 (USD190 in Amazon). I also called Virgin Villagio and was told they have the Drum Set for QR1199 and the Guitar Kit for QR399. So I might be getting the Guitar Kit as that is the only was that I could it it here for now. Unless somebody is coming from the US and bring me back a set! Anyway, eventhough it would be cheaper to get the Wii version, getting the Xbox 360 version would be best as it provides Dolby Digital Sound while the Wii only supports Stereo at best. Plus the Xbox 360 version supports up to 1080p while the Wii can only output to 480p.
But what about Rock Band instead of Guitar Hero? Hmmmm...
