Qpoints, Qmiles and Qatar Airways

I was wondering why flying to Hong Kong gets you 25 QPoints (5868 miles) while flying to the Philippines (6792 miles) only gets you 20 Qpoints? Why is it that they get more even if they’re paying less?

How am I supposed to even get Burgundy Status if I only travel once a year?

I didn’t know that! Talaga 25 points kapag HK? We need to complain. I will write Gulf Time about this. We just received our temporary card. Last year, we traveled only once so we lost our burgundy status. This is unfair! I think they are doing that because there are so many passengers going to the Philippines. Daya noh? If I had the choice, I wouldn’t take Qatar Airways!

I was looking for the contact detail of the Privilege Club Manager so I can write him/her about this too and ask why is this so? they apparently placed Philippines in another Region where you only get 20 QPoints per flight. I’ve also been demoted to the lowest status (not even Burgundy!) this year.

Yes, I went to the website yesterday and I saw that HK and Philippines are on different regions. It’s still unfair considering the HK and Philippines are within a throw of a stone. You know,QA seldom reply to letters. If I were you I’ll write gulf times. hahahahha coz they are forced to answer if the letter is published.
The only reason I could think of why they put us in another region is that there are many OFWs. All QA flights to Philippines is almost always full. Imagine, if every OFW who makes one round trip will get burgundy card, that will be tons of extra baggage for their next year’s flight.
