A Visit to the Dentist

We are waiting for Tian to finish work as I write this article.  Xiane and I just had our dental checkup today (December 28, Sunday); and since the clinic is just across his office, we’ve opted to just wait for him.  Our last visit to the dentist was in June before we went off for our annual vacation.  Still on school break, this is the perfect time for Xiane to have her checkup once again.  So Tian fetched us home just in time for Xiane’s 11:30 am schedule while mine was at 12:30 noon.

When we got to the clinic though, I was told that Xiane’s dentist is on sick leave today.  We would either have to wait for one of the other dentists to finish early with one of their patients so she could be accommodated or just get another appointment tomorrow.  Of course I prefer the former than the latter.  Then I was called 30 minutes earlier than my schedule.  Thankfully, my teeth didn’t need a lot of work.  After some cleaning and tooth polish, I was good to go.  The dentist was then kind enough to accommodate Xiane after she found out that she was supposed to see the other dentist.  She was very pleased with Xianelle’s teeth that she only had to polish them.  According to her, children should be supervised when brushing their teeth until they are 10 years of age to ensure that their teeth are well taken care of.  I also found out that Xianelle will soon be growing her molars and then her front teeth.  The dentist made it very clear that we should take care especially as soon as the permanent teeth start coming out.  So until our next visit to the dentist…
