Kung Fu Panda in Qatar

We’ve been going to the cinema more often as the summer blockbusters are already being shown in Qatar. About 3 weeks ago, we watched Iron Man. Last week, we watched The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Today, we would be watching Kung fu Panda. We usually watch in City Centre, Grand Cinema which now charges QR35 for a seat. Yup, that’s QR35, almost $10 dollars or roughly 380 Pesos.  Quite expensive especially that you have cheaper means of watching a film; wait for the DVD so you can rent it or download from you know where. Still, for me, the cinema experience is still worth it so we still go to the cinema to watch films that we think are worth the money. Besides, it’s like giving credit to those who created the film.

Let me digress, I showed Xianelle the trailer of Kung Fu panda weeks ago and she’s been in a Master Viper frenzy since. For 2 weeks now, we’ve been trying to collect a whole set of Kung Fu Panda toys from McDonalds and we’re only missing Master Shifu and Master Tigress. She even sleeps with Master Viper. She’s also been trying to sing “Kung Fu Fighting” while mimicking some unknown Kung Fu style. She was asking me to download her the movie but I kept telling her that it wasn’t even showing yet so I’m sure she’ll be excited to learn that we’d watch it today.
