Sad and Happy

I can’t believe that the first week of the opening of the school term is through.  It was a good week for my daughter as she’s having fun being in school once again.  The weather though has been quite unpredictable.  One day it was really warm and sunny but it’s been gloomy and windy for 2 days now.

Emotionally, it’s also been a both a sad and happy week for me.  On the one hand, I feel sad because someone I know has a loved one who’s been really sick lately.  I guess, I just feel so much for that person because it’s just hard enough when someone in the family is sick and it’s even harder when you are miles away from them and not be able to take care of them.  My mom and dad have had health problems in the past months as well and I was worried sick about them.

On the other hand, a friend of mine just received the most wonderful news ever, something that she’s been wishing for and thought would never come.  She told me about the good news the other day and my heart was just filled with joy.  I’ve never felt so happy for someone.

Having to feel different emotions just makes you realize how human you are.  But more than just that is having good wishes for these people you feel for.  I can only hope and pray that things will be better for that person and that loved one.  And I wish my friend that this wonderful news she got, would change her life for the better.
