Not the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
This is year is by far the worst that we've ever had when it comes to our health. It's just that the three of us keep getting sick, one after the other. Just this week, we had to confine Xiane at the Pediatrics Emergency Center (the one I've been calling Children's Emergency Clinic) after falling ill with gastroenteritis. Now that she has recovered from it, another one sets in. The other day, her eye just started showing symptoms of conjunctivitis, in layman's terms, sore eyes. My suspicion was confirmed when the symptoms continued the day after. I don't what is it here in Qatar but in our four-year stay in Saudi, we had never been this sick. I hope it is just the change in weather conditions that's causing all this trouble. I hope next year we'll be better equiiped in fighting off any infection that will be coming our way.
