Fastfood in Qatar – McDonalds

One of the considerations when talking about Cost of living in Qatar (or anywhere for that matter) would be the prices of food in global fast-food chains. Most popular would be McDonalds (now serving billions worldwide), Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Pizza Hut, Hardees and so forth. For bachelors who don’t really cook much, going to these fast-food chains is the easiest way to fill your tummy. No groceries to get, no cooking, no waiting (almost), just order and eat. I’m not sure if a McDonalds Value meal in the Philippines still cost Php100 but comparing that to the cost of a Value Meal in Qatar, the difference is quite huge at almost double the amount (14QR or Php200). People who intend to come to Qatar would, I think, find it helpful if I post a number of these fast-food chains’ menu and the cost of the items so that you could compare it to prices locally. If you intend to get by eating fast-food for your stay in Qatar, this would help you plan out your budget.
